Recommended Regimen
Zinc Oxide Sulfur Sublimate Ointment (ZOSSO) recommended regimen includes just 3 steps. You should apply a test patch to a small area of your skin to see if you are allergic to ZOSSO before you use the steps below. A small percentage of users are allergic to the Zosso treatment and have very sensitive skin. ZOSSO works on acne or rosacea.
Step 1
I recommend Acarid Soap which you should wash your face with at least twice a day or more, before you apply the next step or just use your favorite soap.
Step 2
Apply the ZOSSO at night, just before going to sleep. Apply a very light application for the first time to see how your skin reacts. The cool menthol mint effect may cause your eyes to tear, so quickly close your eyes and go to sleep. Try to let the ZOSSO cream dry before placing your face on your pillow.
In the morning wash your face with Acarid soap. Then apply very light dabs of the ZOSSO creme and gently rub into the skin. You may use a little water to help dissolve the ZOSSO cream to blend into your skin.
Just before bed apply the ZOSSO cream again in the same manner and use the same routine in the morning. If you feel comfortable, you may increase the amount of ZOSSO cream.
Step 3
During the day use Xin Fumanling or Jojoba Oil or Rose Hip Oil as a moisturizer and a base before applying cosmetics.
If your skin becomes dry and flakie you will need to apply a moisturizer during the day and Jojoba Oil or Rose Hip Oil should work fine. I also recommend the Xin Fumanling Cosmetic without the Metronidazole. However, you may prefer the Xin Fumanling Cosmetic with 3% Metronidazole. Some have reported that Tea Tree Oil Cream is a good moisturizer and helps rosacea. Neem creams or oils work also. Or just use your favorite moisturizer during the day.
Post Script
You should notice improvement in your acne or rosacea within two weeks! Some rosaceans report that during the first week their acne or rosacea gets worse which isn't unusual, but by the second week you should see some improvement. As with all topicals, if your acne or rosacea gets noticeably worse during the second week or you get an allergic reaction at any time to any of these products, discontinue use immediately! Every acne or rosacea product carries this warning. Remember the X-Factor. All these products are non prescription.
Repeat step 1 through 3 the next day.
Please read more information about the warning, risks, and side effects of using ZOSSO. If you have rosacea, you may want Rosacea 101: Includes the Rosacea Diet. You may also want to check out some demodex products. You may want to check out my YouTube videos on this subject.
